Cancelling your subscription

To cancel, follow these instructions:

1. Log into your Andromo account.
2. Go to your Account settings.
3. Scroll down and click 'cancel subscription' in the bottom of your plan description.

Signed up without a PayPal account?

Did you sign up with a credit card but don't have a PayPal account? PayPal still processes your subscription payments for Andromo. Simply locate the receipt that PayPal emailed you and find the transaction number (ie. receipt number/subscription number) at the top of that email. Then you can simply call PayPal and ask them to cancel your subscription payments.

To contact PayPal using their local number, do the following:

• Go to the PayPal website (http://www.paypal.com).
• Click Contact Us at the bottom of any page.
• Click Call Us, then click Continue for our Customer Service phone number.

You may continue building for the remainder of your subscription

After you cancel your subscription, you can still build for the remainder of the time until your subscription would have expired. So, if you have four months left in your subscription when you cancel, you will still be able to build your projects for the remaining four months.

Ads stop running at applications with expired subscription

After your subscription has expired, ads stop working at your applications. Your app’s ads will resume with a renewed subscription.

Changing your subscription

To change from one subscription level to another -- for example, to change from a Starter subscription to a Professional one -- simply go to your account settings and choose - ‘Upgrade’.

Making changes to your project

You may continue editing your projects without a subscription -- but you will need an active subscription in order to build.

Resubscribing

You may resubscribe at any time after you cancel by starting a new Andromo subscription. There are no penalties for unsubscribing. The cost of your new subscription will be whatever the normal rate for an Andromo subscription is at that time.

Special offers

All special offers are valid one-time for the duration of the subscription to which they were applied, unless the validity period is additionally specified in the conditions of the special offer.

If your previous subscription rate was discounted through a special offer, you will lose that special discounted rate when you unsubscribe. The same goes for features, limits etc. 

If you have a subscription with Andromo, you should cancel your subscription first.

The only reasons to purchase a subscription are:

• To turn off the ads so you can sell your app.
• To enable the monetization/advertising features so you can make money off your app.
• Create more than one app.

Therefore, all sales are final. No refunds will be made.

About Dialog

The Professional subscription removes Andromo branding from the About dialog in all apps you build, resulting in white label apps with no mention of Andromo at all.

To access the About dialog, tap the Menu button on your device, and then choose "About" from the options menu that appears.

The Professional subscription also allows you to show custom text on the About dialog. This can be useful for showing simple instructions, listing credits for the content you've used, or describing the changes in the latest version of your app.

Custom Java Package Name

The Professional subscription allows you to choose a custom package name for your app using the Custom Package Name setting on your project's App Info tab. This allows you to have a package name that doesn't begin with "com.andromo."

Note however that there are strict limitations regarding the package name in Google Play (see below).

What is a package name?
Apps in Google Play are identified by their package name. The package name is a string of text that serves as a unique identifier for the app. For example, the package name is used in the URL when linking to an app in Google Play.

Each package name can only be used by a single app; no two apps in the market can have the same package name.

When you start an Andromo project, a unique package name is generated for you. The default package names begin with "com.andromo" followed by a unique developer id and project id.

Choosing a package name
Package names may contain letters, numbers, decimals, and underscores. They must begin with a letter, and should be all lowercase characters whenever possible.

When using a custom package name, it is important to pick a name that is unique to your app.

Since each app that you publish needs its own package name, you will probably want to include the name of your app. However, you do not need to use the app name -- you may use any name, so long as it is unique to that app.

If you own a domain name, a common strategy is to begin the package name with the domain name reversed, e.g. andromo.com becomes com.andromo.

Another common strategy is to base it on your business name, or your personal name.

It's important to remember that the package name cannot be changed once you've published the app, so only use your domain name if you plan to keep that domain for a very long time.

Whatever you choose, make sure it's something you will "own" for a long period of time.

Published names cannot be changed
Once an app has been uploaded to Google Play and published, its package name is "locked in" forever -- you cannot change the package name for that app, and no other app will be able to use that package name.

Once you've uploaded an app to Google Play, you must continue using the same package name in order to update that app. If you change the package name, Google Play will not allow you to replace the original app.

Replacing an existing app
It is not possible to replace an existing app in Google Play unless it (a) has the same package name and (b) was signed with the same certificate.

All apps built with Andromo are code signed with an official Andromo certificate during the build process.

You cannot replace an app that was built with another tool and published to Google Play, because it would have been signed with a different certificate.

Google currently does not provide any means of transferring apps between publisher accounts or changing the signing certificate after an app has been published.

As a result, you cannot replace an existing app by changing the package name, unless that app was also built using Andromo.

Subscription Benefits

Make as many apps as your plan allows

Andromo offers a variety of affordable subscription plans. You may make as many apps as you desire within the limits of your plan.

Use all activity types offered by your plan

You may use any of the available activity types as allowed for by your Andromo subscription. The Trial plan may limit the available activities. The Starter plan includes all the current activities. The Pro plan may offer additional activities at some point.

Control 100% of your ad revenue

If you choose to show ads in your apps, you keep 100% of the ad revenue.

You will be paid directly by the ad publisher (e.g. AdMob).

Update your apps

Keep in mind, however, that apps typically perform better when they are kept current. Many users use the "last updated" date as an indication of the app developer's attention/dedication to the app.

Build apps with or without ads

Andromo subscriptions allow you to turn off advertising. You have full control over whether or not to show ads in any of your apps.

No ads will be shown unless you want them to be shown -- there is no default ad for Andromo.

All Andromo subscriptions allow you to turn off advertising in order to make "for sale" versions of your apps.

Sell your apps on Google Play
You may upload apps built with Andromo to Google Play, and charge money for them if you wish.

Note: this requires a Google Play developer account.

Build apps without limits
There are no limits placed on how many installs your apps can have -- your installs are not limited by your subscription in any way.

Your success is limited only by the quality of your apps, and how well you market them.

Access all feature enhancements and updates
We are constantly working to improve Andromo. Your Andromo subscription allows you to take advantage of all bug fixes, new features, and improvements, simply by rebuilding your apps.

Professional subscriptions

In addition to the regular subscriptions, a Professional subscription is available with advanced features for professionals who want to build white-label apps that do not contain any reference to Andromo.

The Professional subscription:

• removes "Powered by Andromo" from the About screen
• lets you customize your app's Java package name
• gives priority queuing for your build jobs

What happens when you cancel

Cancelling an Andromo subscription means you won't be charged on your next billing date. You can continue to build for as much time as you had left in your subscription. We do not provide refunds for unused time on your subscription.

After your subscription runs out, you will not be able to build your projects into Android .apk files until you start a new subscription.

Cancelling doesn't shorten your subscription

When you cancel your subscription, you can still build for the remainder of the time until your subscription would have expired. So, if you have four months left in your subscription when you cancel, you will still be able to build your projects for the remaining four months.

Ads stop running at applications with expired subscription

After your subscription has expired, ads stop working at your applications. Your app’s ads will resume with a renewed subscription.

Changing your subscription

To change from one subscription level to another -- for example, to change from a Starter subscription to a Professional one -- simply go to your account settings and choose - ‘Upgrade’.

Resubscribing

You may resubscribe at any time after you cancel by starting a new Andromo subscription. The cost of your new subscription will be whatever the normal rate for an Andromo subscription is at that time. Subscription types and features may also change over time.

Special offers

All special offers are valid one-time for the duration of the subscription to which they were applied, unless the validity period is additionally specified in the conditions of the special offer.

If your previous subscription rate was discounted through a special offer, you will lose that special discounted rate when you unsubscribe. The same goes for features, limits etc. 

Price changes

Your subscription will remain the same price so long as you don't cancel it. The price you sign up for is "locked in" for as long as you keep your subscription going except special offers.

If the normal price for the subscription changes, at renewal time you will be billed according to it.

If you cancel, you will lose your current rate; when you resubscribe, you will be charged whatever the normal rate is for that subscription.

If Andromo doesn’t support a certain payment plan anymore, you will have to buy a new subscription after your old one expires.

Note: Subscriptions are automatically billed on monthly or yearly intervals as indicated on the plan description, such as 'Billed Annually' or 'Billed Monthly', unless Andromo supports that payment plan.

Will my app continue to function after changing or cancelling the subscription?

In case the subscription expires, the App stops running interstitial ads and we will keep your data for up to six months after you ceased paying (or one year for Ultra users). It will still be available in Google Play.
