Hello,

I would like to create an e-card app and wonder if the 'share' option on the Flikr Gallery activity would do this? What options are given for sharing when this part of the Gallery app is used? Can a user share with their phone contacts? On Facebook/Twitter? Via email?

Thanks.

Simon

    Hi Simon,

The share option on the Flickr activity sends out a request for any apps installed on the system that accept sharing of a URL. The list of apps may be different for each user. On a couple devices here, Gmail was listed, however not Twitter/Facebook, or contacts.

    Hi Simon,

To add to what Darryl said, the share option will work with any installed app that is registered to handle the share intent. So it really depends on the apps that the end user has installed. E.g. If they have twitter installer, twitter will show up.

    Thanks,

Thanks both for the help. I'm still deciding whether to create an e-card app or just send users to the mobile version of the site.

    Thanks.
