The one of the best places for HTML information like this is at the w3schools site. Please see the following links for information on creating anchor links:

This tutorial is from a different site but deals specifically with anchors:

You can edit the source for your custom page (if that is what you are using) by pressing the Source button in the top left corner of the Editor toolbar.

    1. Tie one end of a rope or a chain to the anchor.
    2. Tie the other end of the rope or chain to the boat.
    3. Throw the anchor overboard. (Be careful not to drop it on your foot.)

Thanks Mark.. got most of what I needed from the links. just cant get it to work going from one page to another in the app. if it were online I could now but wanting to make it all work offline.

and Lorne.. thanks for the tip about not dropping the anchor on my foot. :) that will save me a lot of pain.

If you're wanting to link to different HTML pages, you'll need to use the HTML Archive activity. That will let you embed a whole HTML file structure in your app. You'd then just use standard < a href > linking to jump from page to page (just like on your website), but make sure you use 'relative' paths for the links rather than full URLs.
