Audio Track Size

I am building an audio app. I notice that you have set a limit of 10mb per track. Is there any reason for this as I would have to sample at 96bps to fit some of my tracks in. Does this limit apply also if I choose to stream from a URL therefore not using your disc space which I presume it is all about?
